Firstly, the 'wee warrior' is looking a bit healthier. He has been up today although still in his pjs and still slept most of the day but the coughing has lessened a wee bit. I am still managing to function with mine but now Holly is feeling a bit yuck too and of course she is fighting it off cos she wants to go shopping tomorrow with her friend Tammy and also cos the boyfriend is coming over on Thursday night. Got to be well for him ya know!
Incidentally Tammy is 18 today so a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her from me.
Remember that pilot scheme I was telling you about? I got one of the 3 places!!! Woo hoo I am so chuffed. If you don't know what I am talking about click here.
On Monday Mynx@Dribble tagged me in her post asking what 5 things I can't leave the house without.
1) Trendy shoes. I am renowned for them, mostly wedges, the higher the better and it's a real conversation starter! Also like Mynx I could never leave the house without a bra on cos I am too well endowed to risk it but I have often left the house without wearing any knickers!!! True Scots woman me ya know.
2) A handbag, cos this girlie girl doesn't leave home without it complete with a diary cos if it's not written in the diary or my calender at home, then it doesn't happen!! You've already seen my handbag but if you can't remember what it looks like click here.
3) A mobile phone as I always have to be contactable in case the school/respite need to get a hold of me about Jack. I literally go into a panic if I forget it, which is rare and will drive back to get it. There has been about 2 times when I have left it at home and the rebel in me has thought......f**k it and I been awol for about 3 hours! It's not too rebellious as the school have another emergency contact number!
4) My house keys. I know this is an obvious one but for my friends who know me, this is one that I often forget! The hazards of having Yale locks that you don't physically have to lock before you leave! I have locked myself out a few times now and had to call the locksmith to rescue me. £20 poorer for 3 minutes of his time you'd think I would learn but no! After the 3rd time (just this month!), I bought a Key Safe for outside my house and I now have two keys in there, back and front door and I have told my dad the code! I took the added precaution of putting my house keys on the same keyring as my car key, with the pink key ring that random guy gave me, so all bases covered now, I hope!
5) and lastly DRUGS! I keep a bottle of Midazolam, Jack's seizure rescue meds in my bag in case he has a seizure over 10 mins. I have NEVER forgotten this one! I have a bottle of this medicine in the main rooms of the house too so that in an emergency I don't have to leave him! Here's hoping that I don't get mugged by some random drug dealer now that I've confessed to being a 'drug carrier'.
The medicine is administered via his cheek where it gets absorbed naturally. Much less invasive than his previous rescue meds.
So there you have it and now I get to tag 5 other people to find out what they don't leave the house without.
1) Julie@my crazy life
2) Nari@narislife
3) Sam@A Redhead Named Sam

So glad Jack is doing better & you too. Hopefully Holly will get control of her yucky feeling before the boyfriend comes over. Really enjoyed reading about your list. Have a great wednesday as you will probably not get this until then.

It's that time of year. Everyone seems to be sick, getting sick or just got over something. Hope everyone in your house gets well soon and stays that way.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten locked out a lot to but for me it was by my dog jumping on the door and turning the lock. I think they are up to something and don't want to get caught.
I now have a key on a bracelet that I wear while I work outside, and yes I have caught them trying to get on the counter and sleeping on the back of the couch.

I am so glad Jack is doing better. And for Holly's sake I hope she doesn't get any worse. Your list was very insightful to the life you lead. Have a great week :D
ReplyDeleteWow. #5 is breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you wouldn't forget it. I get forgetting the keys tho' - i think you are so caught up in the important stuff that the keys are an afterthought.
I have done it too. :) No worries.
Jeepers, post one pic of your boobs and it gets everyone talking lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, gorgeous shoes and phone.
Heres hoping that you dont have to use #5 too often when you are out and about
Hugs :)
@Mynx: Well you know everyone is boob crazy in the world.
ReplyDeleteThose are good things to bring with you. I have never locked myself out, but once my dad forgot his house key and had me climb through a thin window. Good thing I wasn't too fat or else we would have been stuck until mom got home.
