With all the chaos surrounding Christmas in the hospital I forgot to tell you about the birth of a special little boy.
One of my friends from school, Karen, found out her daughter was pregnant earlier this year and her baby was due on Christmas day.
Baby Lucas decided to come a bit earlier, just so that he could have his first Christmas sooner than most and he is now a month old.
They live in Glasgow which is about a 4 hour drive from my house but luckily for me, they were home to visit great granny this weekend so I was able to catch up and steal a little cuddle.
And OMG, he is mega cute! Martine, his mum, is looking good considering how tiring having a newborn is and seemed pretty relaxed and confident considering she is a young mum. I know I would never have been as confident as that at her age but it all seemed to come natural to her.
I couldn't resist teasing her mum about being called Granny though, especially since she is younger than me! Tee hee hee, it's just gotta be done.
Whilst home, I have had my hair all chopped off cos it was getting so long. Was a bit nervous about going shorter but then I thought, what the hell! My niece, Diane, coloured it my favourite colour too...mostly purple with a bit of red thrown in.
What do you think????
Holly and I also went to see War Horse which is a superb film which I think you will love. It was a long film but I honestly wasn't aware of it as I was riveted from the start. If you haven't seen it then what are you waiting for? Oh and don't forget to bring tissues as you will cry.

Aaaaw! Bless! You're right, baby Lucas is SO cute. I bet it was lovely to have a little cuddle with him. I love your hair. You look SO young in that photo!! I already did a post about War Horse, and I agree with you, it was absolutely brilliant! All that lovely scenery before the horse went to war was filmed only ten minutes from where I live, on Dartmoor! Glad you've had a lovely bit of R & R my friend. You needed that, to recharge your batteries. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteYou look great!!!! And that little baby is just adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of War Horse. Gawd, I'm out of the loop!!!
Baby Lucas needs some neck muscles. heehee He seems to be saying "What are you looking at?" He is adorable. I miss having babies around. I would be stealing cuddles too.
